Working across all industry sectors dWC Ecology delivers balanced projects with positive developer and conservation outcomes. Our principal environmental specialist John Paul King has over 25 years’ experience in the industry and is backed by years of science education including a Bachelor in Applied Science (Digital Analysis) a Diploma of Natural Resource Management and a Bachelor in Environmental Science. John Paul King is an accredited assessor under the BAM system, which permits dWC Ecology to prepare assessments under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 including:
- Ecological Assessment Reports (EAR) – Required when your project is going to remove or modify native vegetation but does not trigger the need to offset this loss of habitat;
- Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDAR) – Required when your development triggers offsetting requirements; and
- Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs) – Required if you have large areas of native forest on your land and you wish to receive payments for the conservation of its ecological values.
dWC Ecology also offers services such as biobanking consulting, specialist surveys (drone, hyperspectral and thermal), ecological restoration and conservation management plans and environmental research.
As the role of ecology within the land development space continues to grow we are extremely proud to extend this service to our clients.
