Bernie de Witt

FOUNDER

Bernie de Witt became a Registered Surveyor in 1967. During his 52 year career, Bernie undertook numerous survey and project management projects across NSW, establishing a good and long-standing relationship with all clients, Councils and statutory authorities that he came into contact with. Bernie retired at the end of 2019 and has been recently presented with the Meritorious Award from the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information NSW in recognition of his service and contribution to the industry.

de Witt Consulting was established in 2002 as a standalone company and prior to that Bernie de Witt was the Director of Asquith and de Witt which was established in 1972. The name de Witt has been associated with quality surveying projects in the Newcastle and Hunter region for more than 50 years.

Our team has since grown in excess of 50 members including enthusiastic and experienced registered land surveyors, town planners, project managers and sewer and water accredited designers who are supported by drafting, GIS and administration staff.

This growth, success and stability of de Witt Consulting is based upon our commitment to quality, which is evident by the expansion within the Charlestown office and the additional fully staffed office in Gulgong established to service significant amounts of growing and repeat business within the western region. This controlled growth in de Witt Consulting has required the establishment of improving systems to enable work on large and complex projects for various organisations such as, but not limited to ARTC, RMS, Lend Lease, Robson Civil, Lang O’Rourke and Cimic Group.
