Biodiversity Assessments in Newcastle, Hunter Region, Central Coast, Sydney & Western NSW
Our principal and senior ecologists are accredited assessors under the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM), allowing us to conduct assessments in accordance with the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 as part of the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS). We have extensive experience preparing the full range of biodiversity assessment reports:
- Biodiversity Assessment Report (BAR) – Required where the project seeks to remove or modify native vegetation but does not trigger the need to offset this loss of habitat.
- Biodiversity Development Assessment Report (BDAR) – Required where development triggers offsetting requirements.
- Biodiversity Certification Assessment Report (BCAR) – Detailed reports that assess the potential impacts of land use changes on biodiversity values, supporting the certification process to confirm that conservation measures meet regulatory standards and offset requirements.
- Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs) – Required where large areas of native forest are sought to be assessed in order to receive payments for the conservation of its ecological values.
