Working with local Newcastle Builder and developer Josh Ferris on this 3 townhouse boutique development, de Witt Consulting were engaged to manage the strata titling process. For this project this involved preparing the strata plan, assisting with advice and guidance around strata certification, unit entitlement generation and bylaw options leading to a timely strata scheme registration.
As the base plan of this project did not meet the requirements of the strata legislation a Plan of Redefinition was required as a prerequisite to enable later registration of the strata scheme. Taking our advice the developer agreed to allow this plan to be prepared and registered at an early stage of the development prior to construction which gave confidence with regard to setting out the building positions in an area where some boundary variance was initially found. This type of advice can remove risk of potential minor boundary deputes at a time where there bearing is of lesser significance.
