Uniting Care engaged de Witt Consulting as the statutory Town Planning consultant for the expansion of a retirement village to accommodate 100 independent living units (ILUs), a 60-bed residential aged care facility (RACF), associated community infrastructure and services (including 30 units under the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS)). The site, totalling approximately 22 hectares, is constrained by a combination of mine subsidence, flooding, bushfire and remnant vegetation. These were incorporated into the design and planning. The application was staged, with an application for the first stage approved by Wyong Council and has also been the subject of additional stages with continued involvement with de Witt Consulting.
